Medica was founded in 1995 as the first health care/life sciences dedicated fund
in Israel.
Medica III, established in late 2005, is well advanced in making its intended investments in
medical devices and bio-pharma technology.
Medica offers its portfolio companies:
- Experienced management and a successful investment track record. Portfolio companies are
nurtured along their entire course of growth, leveraging Medica know-how and expertise. The
general partners have served on the board of directors of more than 30 biotechnology and
healthcare companies and have served as chairmen or presidents of some as well. They have
extensive science and operating management experience (US, Israel and Europe) and have played a
key roles in the founding of a number of successful bioscience ventures.
- Access to extensive worldwide commercial, industrial, scientific and financial networks.
Medica has an established activity base in Israel, the US, and is now in the process of
establishing a European base of operations. The extensive network is leveraged within the medical
industry to identify customers and business development opportunities, recruit key senior managers
and raise additional capital in private and public markets.
