Dr. Yuval Binur has over 23 years of venture capital experience in the U.S. and in Israel. For 9 years prior to co-founding Medica, Dr. Binur was a member of Adler & Co., a major U.S. venture capital firm based in New York. He has been a board member of over 20 venture - backed companies in the areas of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, software and electronics. From 1989 until 1995, Dr. Binur co-founded and served as COO/CFO of Oxigene, Inc., publicly traded pharmaceutical company developing cancer drugs. Dr. Binur served also as a chairman and CEO of Angiosonics, Inc., a privately held U.S. company that develops interventional cardiology devices. Dr. Binur was a director of Wave Systems Inc. since its inception and has also co-founded 3 companies in the area of electro-optics, cardiology and orthopedic implants. Dr. Binur holds a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and Ph.D. degree in physics.

Dr. Ehud Geller has been active in the health care/biopharma and life science industries for over 30 years. The former president and CEO of Interpharm Laboratories, Ltd., he presided over the growth of this company from the seed stage to $18 million in revenues. Prior to that, Dr. Geller, was the president of the Pharmaceutical Division of Teva and Executive VP of the Teva Group, Israel´s largest pharmaceutical company. At Teva he led the merger of the pharmaceutical business involved in the acquisition of Ikapharm Ltd., and the strategy of Teva´s entry into the U.S. market. Earlier, Dr. Geller conducted pharmaceutical research at Wyeth Laboratories in the U.S. Dr. Geller has a B.Sc. degree in chemical engineering, an MBA from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. degree in pharma/chemical engineering from Drexel Institute. He serves as founder and director of biotech and device health care companies.

Medica has a strong strategic connection to the U.S. market through its co-founder, investor and Special Limited Partner, Jonathan J. Fleming. Mr. Fleming will assist the General Partner in due diligence regarding the U.S. market, competition, identifying experienced management for the Fundīs portfolio companies and making introductions to corporate partners and investment banks where appropriate. Mr. Fleming, a General Partner of Medica I, is currently a General Partner of Oxford Bioscience Partners, one of the leading healthcare venture capital firms in the world. He has over 13 years of experience making venture capital investments in the U.S., Europe and Israel. During his career, he has served as Chairman of the Board or as Director of over a dozen healthcare and biotechnology companies and has served as the Chairman of the Biotechnology Venture Investors Group. He is also Chairman of the National Conference on Biotechnology Ventures. Mr. Fleming is a Director of Synaptic Pharmaceutical and Selfcare Inc., as well as several private healthcare companies. He has an MPA from Princeton University and B.A. from the University of California.
